On this glorious day when the auto industry starts a new chapter, the Dow removed General Motors AKA NYSE: GM. Thank god and good riddance.

For the skeleton structure left called GM, to come out of bankruptcy worthy of government involvement, the “leaner” brands should heed it’s former strategy. Try producing cars that are desirable, efficient and exciting instead of claiming a 20 MPG HYBRID SUV (like Cadillac’s  ESCALADE) is a viable fuel efficient vehicle. Of course if you think the sky is green and beach front property in Aventura, FL is free by all means keep on with those glorious marketing myths. And with government involvement internationally, the crafting of a better competitive outcome will most likely remain a myth as well.
